Thanksgiving

It's that time of the year again, where families are reunited and roasted turkeys are served on the table of every (or most) households.

The Thanksgiving Day celebration dates back to as far as the 16th Century, where initially it was a designated day to give thanks to God for a common purpose. Today, it is a Federal Holiday in the United States, and for 2009, Thanksgiving Day will be observed on the 26th of November (oh yeah, the following day's a holiday too).

Coincidentally, Thanksgiving Day marks the start of the season of Advent, the weeks that lead up to Christmas.

Ah... I can feel the holiday mood setting in already... one more Month End Close before our 2-week shutdown, I'm just wondering where should I go, and where should I take Mom and Michelle for holidays...

Anyway, we just had a good 3-day vacation up at Cameron Highlands along with Michelle's relatives. We'll be posting something on it soon, along with pictures. Stay tuned!

Sia Damon

This is Sia Damon, the middle child out of 3 Moos that we have.

Dameone is the big, fat yelling beef patty of a cow who unfortunately, was much taller and bigger than Damon, thus earning himself the 'ko-ko' title.

Danielle, the little mastermind whose squeal will deafen anyone within the vicinity is the tiny girl and apparently, the only girl around here. And of course, is Damon's favorite. So don't ever think about bullying his Mei Mei, or else he'd give you hell by crying alongside his sister...

Damon is a cute lil' cow I chanced upon at Sg. Wang, a surprising place for a cute cow like him to be hanging out in. Brought him back during the '07 post-break up period as I didn't want to dirty my Dennis (moo)... And the rest is history.

If you'd like to visit Damon, come on over and drop by our place. When we say 'there's nobody home', we really mean 'nobody is at home'....

One... friggin'... hour...

I know a lot of people have ranted about this before, and I think I'll just hop on the bandwagon.

ONE FRIGGIN' HOUR! That's how long it took for me to get from Cyberjaya back home to my crib here @ Damansara Perdana. No surprises about which highway I used. It's definitely, most definitely the ELL-DEE-PEE... okay, that's not the actual spelling, but it's the LDP Highway.

I personally do not think RM3.20 from Cyberjaya to Damansara is worth it. When you pay RM3.20, you would expect smooth flowing traffic. Because, come to think of it, RM3.20 x 20 days a month is RM64.00.

It has got to be one of the Lamest Damn Piece of highway infrastructure I've ever seen in my life. Why can't it be like the smooth flowing Penchala Link? Or even the Maju Expressway?

Anyway, no sense in ranting too much about this, coz nothing will be done about it. Might as well save some saliva and eat something I like to eat.... like the ice cream in the post below.. hahahaha... :p

Ice cream....

Wanna see what's really terrible when all you want is just something sweet on your tongue?

Soft ice cream cone

And terrible ice cream on top of the cone...

Even Mr. Thumb can bend it easily!

Should I send a complain letter to the friendly people at Nestle?

Finally

Finally, a place for us to rant till cows come home!

Can't believe we actually tried using some silly sites like Wordpress (Wordpress sucks, in my opinion) and we didn't bother to update anything at all there! How silly....

Anyway, we'd be throwing our few cent's worth about whatever we think is necessary to be said by us here at our personal sanctuary. Isn't it better to just throw it all in a blog site rather than do those Facebook shoutouts and those Twitter things?
